Our Approach – Google Ads
COHn, as mentioned, came to us with an itch. This itch was to find out whether or not Google Ads would prove effective for their business.
They specialize in custom acrylics that cater to business owners and hobbyist, so this was an interesting niche to test for to say the least. In our initial conversations, they did not test in Google Ads at all – so we got to start from scratch! Here is what we did:
- Utilizing their existing customer base: One thing that’s becoming the solid truth with Google Ads is that proper quality data is key to a high ROAS. COHn had a ton of customer emails that consented to marketing, so we utilized this data by creating Customer Match Lists which we applied to our campaigns.
- Proper Campaign Structure: COHn had customers coming in from both Canada and the U.S. Using proper location and product segmentation within numerous campaign types such as Standard Shopping and PMAX, we saw results from day 1.
- Getting as much control as possible: We set up their entire account structure to make sure that the fundamentals were applied correctly, meaning that all auto-apply recommendations were turned off, conversion tracking was set up 100% correctly, and much more.
Our Results
We absoltely loved the fact that we could take COHn from the very beginning with their Google Ads. This gave us more control over what we can do and prevent common mistakes we see with self managers and other agencies do. With all of our strategies properly implemented and some heavy oversight, we hit the nail on the head with COHn’s goal and helped add additional revenue to their bottom line at a more than efficient rate at a 5.5 ROAS!
And there’s more too! With their LTV based business model, these newly added customers will add some incremental increases in their average LTV.
What’s the big idea?
Once we meticulously created the campaign and account structure from scratch, we took this account from nothing to a 5.5 ROAS and almost $30k in added revenue.
