Our Approach – Google Ads
This client had previous data to work with within their Google Ads account, but minimal. They faced a problem of growing sales past what they have already acheived with previous Google Ads Specialists and some work they had done themselves. Here are the problems we scouted out as well as the solutions we delivered.
- Too many Primary Conversion Actions – A popular strategy seen online is to have multiple primary conversion actions. One for ATC, another for product views, another for whatever – you get the point. Problem is, this doesn’t work. In fact, it confuses the Google Ads system and causes it to wonder what really is the most important conversion action especially with bidding strategies like tROAS. We narrowed down these primary actions down to 1 – SALES!
- Shotty Conversion Tracking – When checking on the conversion tracking, we could see that only a few purchases were being tracked and/or the value was not being tracked properly. We fixed this using the GTM debugger and installing the right conversion tracking strategy.
- Using the right bidding strategy – The most important goal for this client was to scale, both in ad spend and sales. We implemented a Max Conversions bidding strategy with a mix of Search and well optimized PMAX campaigns to hit the nail on the head with sales and growth.
Our Results
Once we implemented our solutions and the correct Google Ads management strategies, we began to see results. Boathouse & Bunkie’s sales went from $0 in July, to $5k, $7k, and finally hitting $32k in November!
This was the result of constant communication with clients, sales, and some Google Ads magic! We made sure to provide continous updates through their own custom dashboard, a WhatsApp group for quick and easy commuication, and proactive planning for sales like BFCM and the Holidays.
